Review of M-Edge Prodigy Genuine Leather Kindle Jacket with Hinge (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle), Pebbled Navy Blue

I'll start by saying how impressed I was with the craftsmanship on this Kindle cover. The leather is top quality, the construction and stitching flawless. The special hinges fit the Kindle2 perfectly, and the little corner straps work well and don't block any controls. The suede-cloth lining is soft and protective and the pockets are handy and flat.

But I should mention a couple of drawbacks I've discovered. I wish the cover were a bit taller, as the top and bottom of the Kindle are almost exposed. If dropped onto a rough surface, the corners of the Kindle might be damaged. If it were just 3/8inch taller, it would be more protective.

Second drawback is that it doesn't fold back as efficiently as it should. It doesn't fold back flat like the original Kindle1 cover and so the leather buckles a bit. Nor does the strap completely slip into it's holder when folded, so it sticks out, and is annoying. [The strap does fit all the way in securely when the cover is closed though]

Plus, for reasons I don't quite understand, there's a lot of extra space on the left side inside the folded area [open, closed or folded back] that is wasted.There is room for a pencil or pen holder or narrow pen pocket to go there, but doesn't have one, so the space is useless and makes the cover wider than it needs to be.
