I ordered the M-edge jacket for my Kindle 2 on 2/10/09, before it sold out. I just received it, and I love it!It has the Kindle 2-compatible mounting system, which is easy to attach/detach and really holds the Kindle securely in the jacket. There are also 2 leather bands on the opposite side corners, so that the Kindle doesn't hang from the spine of the jacket. The purple leather with contrasting stitching is very rich-looking with a smooth and even grain. The brand name is embossed on the lower edge of the back of the cover. It is extremely well made. The inside of the cover is grey suede with one large and two credit card-sized pockets on the inside front. On the outside, there is a tab that is inserted in the front of the cover to keep it closed. You can fold back the front cover to read, which gives you a wider surface to hold onto on the left side. For the past 2 weeks, I had been using the Kindle 2 "au naturale" (think baby in a bathtub!!), and it was very slippery--which made me think several times I was going to drop it! The cover gives me something substantial to hold onto. It also makes it heaver, but not more so than a thick paperback. Now I can take it out of the house with no worries. Before I would put it in a padded lunch bag when I went out, which wasn't a good look :)--and I still had to hold it in its birthday suit when reading!! If I ever do want to take it out of the case and put it in a sleeve, it's very easy to remove the jacket.
