Review of M-Edge FlexStand Kindle Bookstand (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle)

What? You can't even hold a KINDLE? Well, I can, but one of my favorite places to read is my kitchen counter and it's great to prop up the Kindle at just the right angle. And you can prop it up on your desk at work and read there...during breaks, of course!

The corners fit snuggly and the flex legs are easy to manipulate. The corners and bottoms of the legs are covered with soft rubber to protect surfaces and prevent slippage. I'm not sure, though, why there are two legs -- one at the top and one at the bottom. It would make sense if the 6" Kindle could be read horizontally. Since it can't, the second leg just sticks up in the air. The Kindle doesn't really fit in the stand if it is rotated 90 degrees, so that isn't an option. I think this is just a smaller version of the stand that fits the 9.7" Kindle on which the text can be rotated.

The packaging advertising states that the stand makes possible "hands free reading." Well...you still have to turn the page -- where's that remote control we'd all love to have?

This is a very sturdy, well-made product and I recommend it to all Kindle lovers.

UPDATE 11/25/2009: Aha! Now with the update to 2.3, the Kindle screen can rotate to landscape format.
